"I am really close to making my decision," said Milton Talbert. "I am going to announce my decision at a press conference on Wednesday."
Talbert did not receive any visitors last week, but he did welcome a phone call from one Alabama coach.
"Coach [Buddy] Wyatt called me last week," Talbert said. "He was telling me how they need a speed rush defensive end like me. He said they could really use me."
"Coach Wyatt has been a great recruiting coach. I like him a lot. He coaches a great defensive line. You need good players to play in the SEC, but you have to have great coaches as well. I think Coach Wyatt is a great coach."
"The visits were basically the same," Talbert said in an interview last week of Alabama and Mississippi State. "I had a good time on both trips. I learned a lot about each school. The visits were just a chance for me to get to know the players and the coaches a lot better. I had a great time at both schools."
The Crimson Tide and Bulldog fans will find out Wednesday where the Hattiesburg native will play college football.
