"I have received offers from Southern Miss and Auburn," said Devon Stallworth. "The offers came in the other day. "Alabama is showing a lot of interest in me. I feel like they may be close to offering."

Devon came to the combine with a chip on his shoulder. He came wanting to prove he could compete with anyone, and the Daphne star had outstanding numbers.

"I measured in at 5-10, 207 pounds," he said. "I ran a 4.69 forty, and I had a 4.5 in the shuttle run. I really liked how we were able to run on the turf. There was a lot of great competition down there, especially at my position (linebacker). I feel like the combine really helped me out. I received two offers after the combine, and that was a great feeling."

"I am being recruited as a linebacker and a safety. It really doesn't matter to me which position I play in college as long as I get a chance to play," said Devon.

When asked about favorites, Devon replied, "Well, of course I am interested in schools that have offered me. I am interested in Alabama. I don't really have any favorites right now. I didn't grow up having a favorite school or anything. I know I am going to take an unofficial visit to Southern Miss before the summer. I am not sure which camps I will attend."

As a junior, Devon recorded 165 tackles and two interceptions. He currently has excellent strength numbers as well. (Bench-305, Squat-520, Clean-270).

Devon was named All-County, and the defensive captain of his team with his junior performance. He participated in the Alabama Junior All-Star game.

Devon's brother, Arnil, has not received much publicity. He came into the combine known as Devon's brother. After a great performance, Arnil should receive a lot more interest.

"I had never been to a combine or anything like it before," said Arnil Stallworth. " I felt like it helped me out a lot. I wish I could go to a few more combines. I felt like I had a really good day, and did well against a lot of great competition."

Arnil plays running back for Daphne, and occasionally will make an appearance on defense. He said, "I am the starting running back. Last season, I only had two rushing touchdowns. I sometimes go in on defense. I will go in and play either safety or linebacker. I am being mainly recruited as a running back."

"At the combine, I measured in a 5-10, 190 pounds. I ran a 4.7 in the forty, and I had a 4.3 shuttle time," added Arnil. Devon, is currently receiving more interest but college coaches are showing interest in Arnil as well.

"I haven't received any offers yet. I have been hearing from Troy and Southern Miss a lot though. I feel like one of those schools may be really close to offering. I don't have any favorites at all," said Arnil. Friday, Daphne will travel to Mary G. Montgomery High School for their spring game.
