Copiah-Lincoln Community College has at least eight players who have a chance to be D-I prospects next season. Players placed and expected to resign with the colleges they signed with out of high school are not listed.
Zack Ray (OG, 6-3, 320) - Zack (pictured) is a big, strong offensive lineman who started at left guard as a freshman. A two-year starter for Brookhaven High School, Zack told me that he likes Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Southern Miss and Mississippi State. Expects to graduate in December.
Blake Spiers (MLB, 6-2, 228) - Blake, who attended Brandon HS, recorded 55 tackles (37 solos) in 7 games as a freshman linebacker. Would like to hear from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, LSU and Tennessee. Expects to graduate in December.
Damoyn Carroll (WR, 6-5, 195) - A big, tall wide receiver who played his high school ball at Hazlehurst HS. Likes Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU and Alcorn State. Hopes to graduate in December.
Bud Chatman (WR, 6-5, 230) - A very large wide receiver who will give a quarterback a great target. Received significant recruiting attention during his senior season. Currently would like to hear from Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU and Texas. Expects to graduate in May.
Michael Bibbs (SS, 6-2, 228) - Moved to the defensive side of the ball during the mid-part of his freshman season at Co-Lin. Recorded 11 tackles. One of the top players in the Atlanta area as a senior in high school. Signed with Arkansas but is now looking at Memphis, Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas and South Carolina. Expects to graduate in December.
Cedric Johnson (QB, 5-10, 185) - Had a successful year at quarterback as a freshman, but is projected to play either wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. Signed with Illinois as a senior in high school, but is now looking at Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Texas Tech. Expects to graduate in December.
Jasper O'Quinn (CB/FS, 5-10, 185, 4.4) - Transferred to Co-Lin CC after playing his true freshman season at Delta State. Interested in playing for Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Memphis or Louisiana Tech at the next level. Expects to graduate in December.
