Which schools are showing the most interest in Mario?

"Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee, LSU and Southern (Miss) are showing interest in me," said the 6-3, 300-pounder. "They are sending me letters and calling my coach."

Several schools have also invited him to their Junior Days.

"I'm going to see about going to Auburn's (Junior Day) on the 28th (of March)," said Mario. "I got the letters so late for some others that I won't be able to make them, like Tennessee sent one to me, but theirs is on the 18th. Mississippi State sent me a letter also, but I don't know if I will go to it."

He's also considering attending several college football camps this summer.

"I am probably going to do Southern's camp and I'm thinking about going to Auburn's," said the 16-year old. "It all depends on which (schools) show the most interest."

As for schools that he's the most interested in, four sit atop his list.

"Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn and LSU are my favorites," said Mario. "Southern Miss is at the top with Mississippi State a little lower, kinda."

He explained why he likes those four.

Southern Miss - "It is close to home and that is where my dad went to school."

Mississippi State - "They have a good engineering program and that is what I am interested in."

Auburn - "It is a good school, a big football school in the SEC."

LSU - "It is in the SEC and is a good football school."
