I'm just checking to see how your summer is going. What have you been doing this summer, Richard?
"I'm trying to stay in shape and also working."

You were very impressive in the Mississippi-Alabama all-star game. Did you realize you dominated your man the entire game?
"Not really. I was going play by play and not really paying attention to any other things. I was just trying to help win the game."

Did you enjoy yourself at the all-star game?
"Oh yeah, I had fun hanging out with all the boys." [Richard was one of 12 MSU signees who played in the game.-Gene]

There has been a lot of talk about the all-star game being played in June. Would you rather it be played in June or in December immediately after the high school season?
"It depends. If it was in December, I would have more of my summer open. I would also be in better shape since the season would have just been over."

Now that the all-star game is over, have you thought about when you will be attending Mississippi State?
"Yes sir, I am going to try and be up there July 1st."

Are you going to take Mississippi State strength coach Mike Grant's summer course?
"Yes sir."

Are you getting ready for his summer routine?
"Yeah, I'm getting ready. Jerious (Norwood) told me about it."

Have any of the other signees mentioned that they will be attending State the second summer session?
"Willie Evans said he may be coming in this week. Otis Riddley said that he would be coming up for the second semester, also."

By the way, what is your weight now?
"Before I went on the senior trip cruise I was about 280. I am probably around 290 now."

Thanks for taking the time to talk to me. I just wanted to get an update for the MSU folks who check out my site. Talk to you later.
"Alright, bye."
