Linzy Patterson Interview.
Earlier tonight, I talked to your mom. She said she knew of four schools that called you during May. They were West Virginia, Southern Miss, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. She wasn't sure if you may have received others during the day when she was at work and you were at home. Were there others in addition to those four?
"Those were the ones that called me."
When the coaches called, how interested did they appear to be?
"More or less, they were asking how I was doing, how things were going, what kind of summer workout I was doing. And they were asking me if I would like to come to their school and play for them."
I know you went to the Nike, Mississippi State and Ole Miss camps. Are you going to any others this summer?
"Today, I got back from the Bowden Camp (at Troy State). The only other one that I am going to is Southern Miss. I think that is the only one that I have left."
What schools are you most interested in at this time?
"I'm just trying to keep an open mind."
Have you thought about what college football games you will attend this fall?
"Yes sir, I'm sure I will attend a Southern Miss game or two and Ole Miss and State definitely. I can't tell about the others. I may go to West Virginia."
What are you doing this summer?
"Working out and hanging out with my friends."
Kind of a tough life isn't it (laugh)?
"(Laugh) yes sir."
I remember those days, although they were a long time ago.
Thanks, Linzy, I'll let you go now.
"I enjoyed talking with you."
You too Linzy. Bye, bye.
