STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State junior Ivan Bjelica and sophomore Pierre Mouillon were named to the tennis all-Southeastern Conference second team announced by the league office on Wednesday. The honor for the duo this season marks the 16th time in the last 17 years that a Bulldog tennis player has been named to an all-SEC team.

Bjelica, a junior from Belgrade Serbia and Montenegro, is tied for the lead on the team with five SEC victories this season. Bjelica's spring season was highlighted by two wins over top-30 opponents. Against Arkansas, Bjelica knocked off 13th-ranked Adrians Zguns playing at the #1 position. Last weekend, Bjelica defeated Mississippi's 27th-ranked Eric Claesson as the Bulldogs narrowly missed an upset over the 13th-ranked Rebels. Bjelica is currently ranked 80th nationally entering this week's SEC Championship.

Mouillon leads State in overall victories (18) and dual match victories (10) this season. The Le Perreux, France native is also tied for the lead in SEC victories this season with five. During an 11-match span this spring, Mouillon was victorious nine times including victories against 46th-ranked Alex Hume of Kentucky and 49th-ranked Matt Roberts of Arkansas. Mouillon's highest ranking this spring was 97th which was also the highest ranking of his career.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Thursday, matching up with #20 LSU in the first round of the SEC Championship. The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m. CT at the University of Alabama Tennis Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
