"I've committed to Mississippi State," said an excited Antonio White. "I called (MSU head) Coach (Sylvester) Croom and (Assistant) Coach (Reed) Stringer this morning. I called them about 7 this morning. They were already on the road recruiting other players. They told me they welcome me aboard and that they are happy that I made a good decision."
His reasons for choosing MSU were very simple.
"I chose them because of Coach Croom and the atmosphere at Mississippi State," said the 6-2, 240-pounder.
What other schools did he consider?
"I also considered Ole Miss and Alabama," said the gifted linebacker. "I had scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama and Southern Miss."
Antonio, potentially one of the top 10 high school players in the state of Mississippi, is Mississippi State's 8th verbal commitment.
