"Just working and working out. That's about it."
What kind of training have you been doing?
"They sent me a book to follow and I've been following Mississippi State's program this summer."
What does that involve?
"It's just a very hard weight lifting program they've got me doing (laugh)."
Has the program helped as far as strength or speed or anything?
"I haven't really tested anything lately, but I know I've gotten a lot stronger. I don't know what my speed is now."
What about your height and weight?
"Its about the same - about 6 feet to 6-1 and about 167 pounds."
I got to see you in the Mississippi/Alabama all-star game. What did you think about that game?
"Well, I don't have too much to say about that. I didn't do too much in it. But it was a fun experience though. I wish I would have gotten to play a little more, but It was fun while it lasted."
You got to play a little receiver, didn't you?
"Yes. I liked it OK - it was fun. It's a fun position too as well as quarterback. Both of them are fun positions to play."
Have you ever played receiver before?
"Just at practice."
Have the coaches told you anything about what position you will play at State?
"They're going to start me out at quarterback and if that doesn't work out, then I'll move to wideout."
What do you think about the possibility of moving to wideout?
"I don't mind."
Do you think you are ready for some of Coach Grant's workouts?
"I think so. I've heard that they are pretty tough. That's why I'm going to go as quick as I can and not wait until Aug. 2nd."
Have the coaches talked to you at all about playing time this year?
"No, we haven't talked about that yet. We will talk about that when I get there. I don't really know what to expect but I guess we'll go in there and see who gets in position for that third spot. Then, after we find out who that is, we'll talk about it then."
Do you know who you'll be up against for that job?
"Nelson and I think (Justin) Tyler."
Do you think you can beat those guys out?
"I don't really know too much about those guys, I just know what I can do. I'll try my best."
That's a good way to look at it. Thanks for your time and we hope to see you on the field soon. Thanks for your time.
