"I visited MSU on Friday (May 26) and met with most of the coaches including Coach Croom," said Ethan, who not only plays fullback but tight end as well. "Everyone was real excited to see me."
Especially Coach Croom.
"(Coach Croom) said, 'when God made you he was thinking fullback,' " said the 6-1, 250-pounder.
As for the visit itself, it reaffirmed Ethan's commitment to MSU.
"The facilities there were totally awesome," said Ethan, who had never visited MSU prior to Friday. "My visit validated my commitment to Mississippi State. I can't wait to get started."
And he's not joking either because he's arriving on campus as soon as he finishes at Southside High School.
"After I graduate, I plan on going to summer school just to get acquainted with the players and coaches," said Ethan, who plans to take his official visit in December.
As for future expectations once he arrives on the scene, Ethan sees big things as early as his first year in the Maroon and White.
"I'm telling you right now, we will be in a bowl in 2007," said a confident Ethan.
High expectations indeed, but this is not a youngster who sits back and waits for things to happen. He's the type who makes things happen. If you don't believe it, check out his video. When Ethan blocks a player or runs into the line of scrimmage, things have a way of happening.
