What classification are you?
"I will be a senior this year. I transferred from a junior college (Miss. Delta CC)."

Greg, you were playing another position last year. How did you wind up at fullback?
"I moved from noseguard to tight end last fall. When Justin (Griffith) was out with a neck injury, they moved Tommy Ferrill from tight end to fullback. When he started having trouble with his neck at fullback, I offered to go over there. They liked the way I played, so they decided to keep me there during the spring. And now it looks like they are going to keep me there this fall."

Did you play any fullback in high school?
"In high school I actually played defensive end and offensive tackle. This is a new position for me."

Do you like playing fullback?
"I like it a lot because it it similar to playing defense in that it is a very physical position. It is a little more exciting to me than tight end was. I feel I can be beneficial to this team at this position."

What kind of objectives did you have going into the spring?
"Just try to make a name for myself. Try to work into a spot where I could possibly get a chance to play some this fall."

What have you been trying to accomplish this summer?
"During the first part of the summer, I was mainly trying to get used to the heat, working on the endurance. I was also working on my quickness and agility. Moving from a defensive line position to fullback, I really had to work on my footspeed."

Have you seen improvement?
"Not drastic improvement, but I've seen improvement. I have just started the building blocks and hope to take it up another notch this semester."

What are your hopes for this team this coming season? And what do you hope to accomplish, individually?
"I would like for our team to come together and play up to the talent and potential that it has. I see that coming together now.

"For myself, I would like to earn a spot and make a name for myself on the field."

Since you are a senior, are you on schedule to graduate this year?
"Academically, I am a senior with a double major in Agronomy with an emphasize on turf grass and landscape contracting. With a double major, it will be the fall of 2003 before I will graduate."

Thank you, Greg.
