"The players are a lot bigger, faster and hit a lot harder. You have to be prepared even when you go out for practice."
Were two-a-days last season more difficult than you expected?
"It was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. But they did a good job working with us and teaching us."
Talk about the spring and the things you wanted to work on individually.
"I think I needed to improve my speed a little bit. I definitely needed to work on my shoulder pad level. I also needed to be more aggressive in practice. I didn't really get after it enough in practice when I first came in."
What are you working on during the summer?
"Basically, I'm trying to get in the best shape that I can and get stronger and faster."
Have you seen a difference in this team than what you saw during the fall of last season?
"I have. I think I see more people trying to be leaders. I think everybody is trying to work harder so we don't have a season like last season."
What do you think this team will do this season?
"I think we will do pretty good. I think we will do a lot better than last year. Our goal is to get to the SEC Championship game."
What do you hope to accomplish individually?
"I want to improve myself at things like blocking so that I can help the team this year."
