Antwon Dixon Commits to Mississippi State

Mississippi State picked up commitment number twenty-four this past Thursday night as Terry High School's Antwon Dixon made his verbal pledge to Head Coach Sylvester Croom following the Bulldog's season opener.

One of Mississippi's top college prospects, Antwon Dixon, has elected to play his collge ball for Mississippi State University.

"I committed to Mississippi State Thursday night," said Dixon. "The atmosphere up there was great. All of the people were real friendly. The coaches were all very nice. Everyone really wants me to go there."

Antwon spent time during the game with fellow Bulldog commitment Derek Sherrod. Once the clock hit all zeroes, Dixon made his intentions known to the Bulldog coaching staff.

"After the game I spoke with Coach Croom and told him I was committing," reported Antwon. "He said we are going to work on some things with school to make sure I can be eligible. He told me he was really glad to have me up there."

Antwon projects as a safety and is looking forward to being a part of Ellis Johnson's defensive team.

"I am going to play safety up there," said Antwon. "I really like how their defense plays."

Antwon has committed to the Bulldogs, but says he will take in some other football games at other schools. At this time he has no official visits set.
