MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update

The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a weekly feature that allows you the fan to keep up with the latest news from the high school and junior college action involving players committed to Mississippi State.

Addison Lawrence scored three touchdowns including an 80-yarder as Magnolia Heights rolled to a 59-14 win over Starkville Academy. The win guarantees the Chiefs home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Magnolia Heights is now 7-0 on the season.

Antwon Dixon and Terry passed their toughest test to date with a 32-29 win over up start Brookhaven. Antwon scored on a 3-yard run and a 43-yard touchdown pass from Charlie Shearer. The Bulldogs advance to 7-0.

Marcus Green had rushing touchdowns of 51, 45, 27 and 5 yards as Kemper County raced to a 39-28 lead after three quarters. Philadelphia scored 19 unanswered in the 4th quarter to take the game 47-39. Green and the Wildcats are now 2-5 on the season.

Eric Richards connected on a 38 yard field goal and failed to convert an extra point in a 20-9 loss to Madison Central. Warren Central drops to 2-5.

Derek Sherrod and Caledonia won a barn burner against Aberdeen 46-42. Caledonia is now 3-4.

Colton Jenkins and Winona ended up on the wrong end of a 13-7 overtime decision to Lexington McLain. The Tigers fall to 3-4.

D.J. Looney and Oak Mountain evened their record at 3-3 with a 48-6 pasting of Birmingham-Carver.

Quentin Saulsberry and Independence fell to 3-4 after a 16-6 loss to Water Valley.

Dakota Merritt and West Florida Tech drop to 0-6 with a 38-0 loss to Catholic.

Lee Chambers and Coffeeville were open this week.

Karlin Brown and Lincoln High School slipped by winless Leon 27-24 and now stand 4-2 on the season.

Mike Hunt helped Franklin County roll to 6-1 on the season after dispatching North Pike 33-7.

Ethan Stockett and Southside drop their second in row to fall to 3-3 on the season. Fayetteville wins 34-14.

Jamariey Atterberry and Koscuisko got back to their winning ways with a 35-9 thumping of Louisville. The Whippets are now 5-2 on the year.

Antonio White and Hollandale Simmons (6-1) have still not allowed an offensive touchdown this season. Simmons wins in a cake walk over Tchula Marshall 64-0.

Chris Relf led his Carver Wolverines to a 13-12 victory over Lee High School. G.W. Carver is now 2-3 on the season.

Korentheus Bailey and East Hall (2-3) win 34-14 over rival West Hall

Damein Anderson and Jazzmen Guy won 68-26 over Richland. Damein had a pair of touchdown passes and converted a two point conversion.

Jonathon Williams and Jimmie Holmes dropped a tough 19-12 decision to Itawamba. The MDCC defense limited ICC to 11 offensive first half plays. MDCC is now 3-3 on the year.

Archie Sims and Tim Holloway put their five game unbeaten streak on the line this Saturday when they travel to SWCC.

Co-Eric Riley and Gulf Coast will play East Central on Saturday.
