Robert has had a pretty good season this year despite playing behind a young offensive line.
"I've had over 1,000 yards in 8 games this season," said Robert.
Although his team's record isn't what he would like for it to be, there have been some close losses to some really good teams.
"We are 3 and 5 this season," noted Robert. "We lost to Coldwater by 3. Against Bruce, we lost by a touchdown. There was about a minute left in the game and it was something like 4th and 15 and they threw a bomb downfield and scored and won the game. We lost to Shannon 28 to 14. There were some games that we lost that were pretty close losses."
However, despite the record, there is still good news for his team.
"We have already made the playoffs," said Robert.
As for his recruiting, nothing has changed at least as far as his commitment and the schools that's he's interested in.
And all continue to show great interest in him.
"I probably get two text messages from (Ole Miss, FSU, MSU) each day. I receive one from the running backs coach and one from the assistant coach that's recruiting me. I receive a phone call once a week from each school," noted Robert. "Alabama's running backs coach calls me once a week and writes text messages sometimes. They haven't talked about setting up an official visit. If they do, I would visit them.
"All of the schools say the same thing. They tell me that they really need me and if I come to their school I would have a great chance to compete for the starting position and a great chance to play as a freshman."
Robert has taken the next step in the recruiting process which is setting up official visits.
"I've set up an official visit to Ole Miss the first weekend of December (1st-3rd), then I have Florida State the second weekend in December (8th-11th). Then, I have Mississippi State January 20th," said the Ole Miss commitment. "I set Florida State two weeks ago, Ole Miss last week and Mississippi State this week. I'm excited about the visits."
To see why all four schools are still very much interested in him, check out this video of him playing against Nettleton High School and Aberdeen High School during the 2006 season. The Aberdeen game was taped by Scout.com's Jay Dahlem and the Nettleton game was taped by the Okolona film crew.
