Cross Country
STARKVILLE, Miss. - After an impressive finish at the Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championship this past Saturday, both the Mississippi State men's and women's cross country teams enhanced their standings within the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association's South Region Poll.

The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs claim the No. 6 spot in the Week 5 poll released by the organization this week. State's men made the biggest move from the previous poll release. After a sixth-place finish at the SEC Championship, the men's squad leaped from No. 10 to No. 6. On the women's side, the Lady Bulldogs moved up one notch in the poll after finishing fifth in the conference event.

The MState squads will begin preparations this week for the upcoming NCAA South Regional on Saturday, Nov. 11, in Knoxville, Tenn.
