MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update 11/17

The MSU commitment scoreboard update is a weekly feature available to all readers. The update gives you, the reader, the chance to see how the Bulldogs-to-be fared in their most recent games.

Addison Lawrence caused a late fumble that allowed Magnolia Heights' state championship dreams to come true as the Chiefs knock off Lamar 28-20. The title game win brings the school it's fourth state football championship.

Antwon Dixon and Terry advance to the South State Championship game after slipping by previously unbeaten Forrest County AHS. Antwon had two touchdown runs to lead the Bulldog offensive. Terry will travel to Wayne County next week.

Zach Smith and Susan Moore High School just missed hanging half a hundred on Colbert Heights in a 49-34 win. Smith threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more. Susan Moore is now 11-1 on the season and will face Leeds next Friday in the North sub state semi-finals.

Mike Hunt and defensive minded Franklin County ended Collins season tonight with a 17-13 win and they needed a late fourth quarter touchdown to do it. Mike will face off against Hazlehurst next week for the south state championship.

Jazzmen Guy and Damein Anderson wore SE Lauderdale out tonight to the tune of 47-18. The Indians are one win a way from defending their state championship, but must get by Franklin County first.

Karlin Brown and Lincoln High advance to the regional finals after a late fourth quarter field goal gave the Trojans a 27-24 win over Milton. Lincoln will face Pace High School next week.

Ethan Stockett and Southside's impressive run continues after they knock off North Little Rock 40-34 in double over time. Ethan ran for a 4-yard touchdown in the game. Overall, he rushed for approximately 20 yards on 4 carries. And, as always, he paved the way for the other runners with his blocking. Ethan and his teammates play Rogers for the 7A State Championship Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium.

Antonio White saw his high school career end tonight as Baldwyn was simply too much for Simmons. Baldwyn advances after a 26-20 win.

All other MSU commitments have concluded their seasons.
