"It was real good," said Jessie of his visit. "I had already been in the program so it was what I expected."
A conversation with MSU head coach Sylvester Croom made a strong impression on the youngster.
"Me and Coach Croom had a one-on-one conversation that was very interesting. I prefer not getting into the details, but it was a real good conversation and I know where I stand with them," said Jessie, a MACJC All-Regon first-team selection. "They talked about how important I am to them. Coach Croom put it into my hands so that I can make the right decision."
Another individual that impressed Jessie was senior defensive tackle Deljuan Robinson.
"Deljuan Robinson was my host," said Jessie. "He sat down and talked to me about the program. He was a big help to me."
And the play of MSU against 5th ranked Arkansas also impressed the youngster.
"The game made a difference to me. They play hard on defense, but it didn't surprise me how well they played," explained Jessie. "Their defense always performs. Deljuan gives 100% all the time. I like watching Deljuan play."
Before Jessie makes a final decision he has two more official visits to make.
"I was going to go to Oxford on December 2nd, but I have a bowl game. I really haven't talked to them about (rescheduling) it since they can only call me once a week. Miami has offered. I've got a (official) visit down there on December 15th," said Jessie, who hopes to graduate in December.
As for where each team stands on his favorite list, he's not ready to name a leader. When asked that question, Jessie simply said, "well .... I'll just say they are even."
