"It was real fine, real nice. I had a real good time," said Jonathan. "I really liked the college atmosphere. I enjoyed being around the people, especially the coaching staff."
He also liked being around the MSU football players.
"My host was (former teammate) Tim Bailey," said Jonathan. "The players are alright guys. I could see myself playing with them in the future."
As for the game, he came away very impressed with the overall play of the team.
"They really played to their full potential," noted Jonathan of MSU's game against Arkansas. "They just made a some mental mistakes. You take away the interception and kick return and the game would still be tied and they would probably still be playing."
How does he feel about his commitment to MSU now that he's had a chance to spend a weekend with the coaches and players?
"This solidified my commitment to Mississippi State. I've very solid with Mississippi State," said Jonathan.
The MSU coaches will be visiting Jonathan soon to finalize plans on him signing with them in December.
"They plan on doing an in-home visit when I come home for the (Christmas) break," said Jonathan.
