Jessie Bowman Has Three on His List

Copiah-Lincoln Community College defensive tackle Jessie Bowman, one of the top two junior college defensive linemen in the state of Mississippi and recently named All-American, talks about the schools still on his recruiting wish list.

The last time I talked with Jessie he had three schools on his list - Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Miami. Any change?

"It's the same as last time, I'm going on my Ole Miss visit this weekend," said Jessie, who officially visited Mississippi State a few weeks ago. "I'm still taking my visit to Miami the next weekend. That's probably going to be it."

Although he's only going to offiically visit those three, several other schools have recently contacted him.

"Those three schools are calling me daily. After our bowl game Tennessee came by and talked to me," said Jessie, who confirmed that he plans on graduating in December. "There wasn't too much said about that. Grambling (State) and a few smaller schools are also calling me."

Does he have a timetable as to when he will make his commitment?

"I'm not sure when I will make my decision. It'll probably be after I take my visits," said Jessie.

When asked if any of the schools is ranked ahead of the other two, he said, "they are all even. None are ranked higher than the others."
