STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State announced Thursday the schedule for football Fan Day, set for Saturday, Aug. 24, in Humphrey Coliseum.<P>
MSU athletic officials have encouraged fans to bring their cowbells to this event for audio taping purposes. A recent SEC announcement placing penalties on its league-wide regulation against the use of artificial noisemakers during play has resulted in the university planning
institutionally controlled noise at appropriate times.
Doors to the coliseum will open at 11:30 a.m. for Bulldog fans and supporters. The program will begin at noon with performances by the MSU
cheerleaders and pom squad. The team will arrive at the coliseum shortly thereafter and Jim Ellis will introduce Bulldog head coach Jackie Sherrill.
After some brief remarks, Sherrill will introduce his assistant coaching staff and the 2002 team.
The MSU players and coaches will be available to the general public on the main concourse of the coliseum for photographs and autographs. Cheerleaders will also be there for face-painting.
