"Usually on official visits they feed you food and give you the big hotel suites, but that didn't impress me. What impressed me was the speech that Coach Croom made Saturday night," said Marcus, who was hosted by Anthony Dixon. "It was a powerful speech. He told us that we were the key to them winning. They lost several games by only a field goal. He plays a lot of freshmen. And he said that we shouldn't come in not ready to play. We needed to come in focused and ready to help the team out."
And hearing it with 19 other future Bulldog teammates sitting with him only made it even more special.
"Having all the other recruits there, it just seemed like I belonged there with them," said Marcus. "I formed a bond with almost all of them."
And he left Mississippi State and Starkville knowing that his recruitment was finished.
"My official visit just put an extra solid block on my commitment. I'm through with the recruiting process," said Marcus. "I'm not going anywhere else. I thank everybody for recruiting me, but I've made my final decision."
