"We won tonight by 12," said Kodi. "I did really good. I had about 25 (points) and 10 (rebounds)."
He was especially proud of his rebounding efforts, a part of his game he believes he has definitely improved on.
"My rebounding is my biggest improvement this year because it is way more physical in the prep league," noted Kodi.
As for his overall game, he feels his floor game may be his biggest asset, that and his shooting.
"I read the floor pretty well and shoot the basketball well," said Kodi.
But he knows there is still much to work on before he's SEC-ready.
"I still need to work on my ball-handling, but you can always get better at that," explained Kodi. "I also need to get stronger. And my rebounding needs to improve."
Although he's listed as a strong forward on Scout.com, Kodi expects to play another position when he gets to State.
"Mississippi State is expecting to play me at small forward, the three-position," noted Kodi. "They like my shooting and rebounding and how I handle the ball."
During his business schedule at Maine Central Institute, he tries his best to keep up with his future team.
"I always look at them on Yahoo to see how they are doing," said Kodi. "I watch them on tv whenever I can. I watched their game against Mississippi on ESPN."
There are several things he's been impressed with about his future team.
"I like the offense they run and how they run the floor. And they play hard," he said.
He's hoping to start spending time with his new teammates as soon as possible, but it may not be until the second half of the summer.
"I'm not sure when I'm coming down because my school doesn't get out until June 3rd," said Kodi. "I know I'm supposed to go to summer school, but I don't know when."
And the sooner the better because the weather will definitely beat what he's currently having to deal with.
"It's freezing here. It's supposed to snow (Wednesday), so we won't have practice or school either," said Kodi. "They are expecting about two feet of snow."
