MSU Basketball Signee Scoreboard update

Most of the Mississippi State basketball signees are still involved in their state playoffs. With several Bulldogs-to-be leading the way, the State tournaments will be worth keeping an eye on.

Ravern Johnson had 23 points in a 71-55 win over Hollandale-Simmons on Friday. Ravern and Coahoma County will take on Shelby-Broadstreet today for the North State title. Coahoma County is 0-3 on the season against their north state counterparts. Shelby-Broadtstreet won the last meeting 81-59.

Elgin Bailey was held to just four points as Ouachita knocked off Belaire High 61-53. Belaire ends the season 19-12.

Kodi Augustus updated stats and team record were unavailable.

Danielle Rector is averaging 28.4 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. Danielle and Temple Academy lost in the finals of the district tournament 47-41 to Grace Academy. Despite the loss, Rector's championship dreams are still alive. Temple Academy will play in the Region 3A semi-finals on Monday at 7:30.

Laquitta Wilkins helped her Sparkdale squad to a 50-38 win in the regional qualifier earlier today. Laquitta had nine points and seven rebounds. Sparkdale will play Jeff Davis in the 6A state semi-finals on Thursday in hopes of advancing to next Saturday's state title game.

Mary Kathryn Govero had 31 points to lead Mt Salus Christian School to the Class A State title game. With a win today, Mt. Salus will advance to the MPSA overall tournament next week.
