"I went to the University School of Jackson in Jackson, Tennessee."

"I was born in Canton, Mississippi. My dad (Roger Cook) is from Canton and my mom (Melanie Cook) is from Jackson, Mississippi."
How did you wind up choosing Mississippi State?
"My dad played here at State. He was a freshman in 1970. (He was also a teammate of Rockey Felker.-Gene) I am a long snapper and they have a good situation here for long snappers. Coach Sherrill pays a lot of attention to special teams. I like that."
What are your goals this season?
"I would like to at least be second-string. I know they have two seniors this season, but my ultimate goal is to start."
