"We got out of school on the 9th of May," said Elgin. "I have been working out and working to get everything ready to go to school since then."
One of the things Bailey is working to get right is his ACT score.
"I am waiting for my score to come back now," said Elgin. "It should be here anyday. That was the first time I had taken it. I feel real good about it and I believe that I passed it. I understood everything and I completed all of the questions. I am going to make it."
The talented post player reports that he has been in contact with his recruiting coach from Mississippi State.
"I talk to Coach Kirby some," said Elgin. "He is doing real good. He says that he is ready for me to get there."
The talented Bailey is well aware of some turnover with the Bulldogs' roster and he says he is not concerned.
"I know the Delks left from up there," said Elgin. "They had to do what they had to do, but two players don't make a team. I wish those guys the best, but we will just take things from here and move on."
With departures from Vernon Goodridge and reserve Bernard Rimmer, Bailey will certainly have the chance to make an early impact.
"All I am expecting is hard work," said Elgin. "The only thing I know for sure is that I am going to have to get up there and work and I am fine with that. I am planning on being their for the second part of summer school. Once I get there I am going to do whatever they need me to do to help the team."
