"Tommorrow is my last day of school," said Kodi. "My school will send in my transcript after this week. I will be just waiting on the clearance house then. I don't have any other courses or tests to take."
Augustus reports he is not expecting any issues gaining clearance before enrolling at Mississippi State, which he plans to do in July for the second session of summer school.
"They have talked to me about just getting done and just getting down there," explained Augustus. "I am looking forward to it. I only got to come home once and that was for April break. The rest of the time I was up here."
Kodi has plans to return home to Baton Rouge for a brief time before departing for Starkville. From the looks of things a familiar face will be nearby should Kodi get a little homesick.
"They are talking about me rooming with Elgin Bailey when I get there," said Kodi. "I knew him from before I moved out to Houston. We used to work out together."
It has been a good while since Kodi had much of a cheering section. That will soon change as the Augustus family has plans to ensure a true homecourt advantage.
"My parents love that I am going to closer to home," said the talented forward. "They are going to be coming to a lot of the games. We are all real excited about that."
