More 2007 Kickoffs Set For Telecast

The Southeastern Conference and its network broadcast partners have released a list of 2007 football games scheduled for telecast, including three Mississippi State games. In addition to the previously-announced season-opener with Louisiana State on ESPN, Bulldog games with Auburn and Ole Miss have been reserved for regional broadcast on Lincoln Financial Sports.

State's September 15 game at Auburn has been scheduled for 11:30am kickoff at Jordon-Hare Stadium. And the regular-season finale between Mississippi State and Ole Miss at Scott Field will also air in the 11:30am timeslot. In each case the regional telecast precedes CBS's 2:30 timeslot. The MSU-Auburn game is before Tennessee at Florida; and the Egg Bowl is before Arkansas-LSU.

Also, regional cable network CSS will pick up State's game at Tulane on September 8. The LSU@MSU game was tabbed by ESPN earlier this spring, for a Thursday night telecast. Now the network has set the time for a 7:00 broadcast from Scott Field, as the first televised college football game of the 2007 season.

So far 11 games involving SEC teams, seven of them league games, have been ‘booked' from August 30 through October 4. The rest of the broadcast schedule is set week-by-week.

Two more Bulldog home games which are not expected to be televised have had times set by the University. The Gardner-Webb game on September 22 is now officially at 6:00. And the Homecoming game, with Alabama-Birmingham this year on October 6, will have the traditional 1:30 kickoff at Scott Field.
