From the moment he signed his national letter of intent, Elgin has reassured all who would listen that he would be a Bulldog this fall.
Elgin had to retake part of his state exit exam this summer which accounted for part of the delay in forwarding his finalized transcript to the clearinghouse.
Once his passing score was received, his documentation was sent to the NCAA clearinghouse for review.
While the delay was frustrating for all involved, Bailey remained confident that he would get a positive ruling.
That positive ruling came earlier this afternoon when the NCAA gave Bailey the necessary clearance to enroll for fall classes at Mississippi State.
Elgin expects to be in class on Monday August 27th, which is the drop/add day for the fall semester.
Bailey rounds out another impressive recruiting haul by Coach Rick Stansbury and his talented staff.
The clearance of Bailey certainly provides some help in the low post for a Bulldog roster that saw a pair of big men move on due to a lack of playing time.
Elgin reports that he is ready to get to Starkville and get to work with his teammates.
