MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update 9/14

The MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update is a free weekly feature that allows you, the fan, to see how the Bulldogs-to-be did in their most recent high school contests.

Baker Swedenburg and Heritage Academy jumped out to an early 7-0 lead, but Starkville Academy came roaring back behind three rushing touchdowns from Stephen Felker to win 30-7. Heritage is now 0-4 on the season.

Terrance Davis and Salem high school (2-1) have posted back-to-back shutouts after being shut out themselves in week one. Terrance scored two rushing touchdowns this Friday to lead the Seminoles 35-0 over Jackson County.

Bo Walters and Briarwood Christian continue to make waves with their great defensive play. The Lions held Benjamin Russell to just 44 yards rushing in a 36-21 win. With the win, the Lions remain unbeaten at 3-0.

Kirkland Gainous and Lincoln cakewalked over rival Leon 45-0. The Trojans racked up nearly 600 yards of offense as they push their record to 3-0.

Nelson Hurst and Plainfield bounced back from last week's loss to shell Martinsville 42-0. The Quakers are now 4-1 on the season and in in good shape within their conference.

Montario Patterson and Biggersville (1-2) won a defensive struggle 13-6. A 55 yard interception return for a touchdown provided the margin of victory.

Delmon Robinson and Vicksburg (2-1) blanked Hazlehurst 28-0.

Templeton Hardy and North Panola (1-2) wound up on the short end of a 32-14 decision against Lafayette County.

Arceto Clark and Shannon are walking tall at 3-0. The Bucs spanked Jackson Central-Merry of Tennessee 35-0.

Devin Jones and DeSoto Central (1-2) picked up their first win of the year 16-0 over Memphis Bishop Byrne.

John Paul Alford and Koscuisko got upset by Louisville 16-7. The Whippets fall to 2-1.

Kendrick Cook and Etowah shutout Albertville 16-0 to advance to 2-1.

Charles Bailey and Bartram Trail (2-1) got back on the winning track in a big way. BTHS rocked Ridgeview 40-0.

Corey Broomfield has netted 2 interceptions on the season, but this week Corey and Bayside (1-1) got to enjoy a bye week.
