Romero is very excited about the weekend and he is ready to have the total Bulldog basketball experience.
"I am looking forward to getting up there and having some fun," said Osby. "I want to go to the facilities, play ball and just hang out with all of the players to get a feel for them. We are looking to build some camradarie."
"We're going to get there and hoop it up," said Romero. "We're going to make sure we're all three on the same team too."
The chance to play together as in coming classmates this weekend is something Kentucky's top prep prospect, Scotty Hopson, is looking forward to as well.
"If we get to take the court together it is going to be a thing of beauty," said the five star prospect. "Romero and I have played together before, so we know how we play together. With Dee on the court with us, it's going to be something nice."
While his running mate and good friend Romero is a frequent visitor to the MSU campus, Scotty is getting to back to the campus for the first time in a while.
"This will be the first time I have been to Starkville since early in the summer," said Hopson. "I am looking forward to getting there this weekend and just hanging out with everybody. Romero and I are real cool with each other, but this will be the first time I get to meet Dee. We have talked on the phone some, but this weekend we'll get to hang out some."
Hopson reports that he has already had the guided tour, so this weekend he looks forward to building relationships.
"I am bringing my mom with me and I think my AAU coach is going to make the trip," said Scotty. "When I took an unofficial visit a while back, we went over a lot of the campus things and all of that. This time is going to be more about all of us hanging out and having a good time with the coaches and the other players. It should be a real good weekend."
As if the weekend could not be any bigger, Mississippi's top high school prospect for 2009 will be making an unofficial visit.
"I am headed to Mississippi State this weekend for their homecoming football game," said National Top 100 junior Shaunessy Smith. "I went to their last home game too."
Shaunessy currently holds six college offers including one from Coach Rick Stansbury's Bulldogs. Smith is contemplating making his college decision public next summer.
