"I have offers from Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Clemson, ULM and few more," said Swayze. "I am down to LSU, Ole Miss and Mississippi State."
The Lady Tigers hold an advantage of being closer to home as well as being Swayze's childhood favorite.
"I have liked LSU since I was younger," said Black. "I always said that if I got the chance to play there that I would, but it's come down to such a hard decision. It's not as easy as I thought it was going to be."
One of the things that has made the decision so difficult for Swayze has been the recruiting efforts of her in state programs.
"I like the team and the coaches at Ole Miss," said Swayze. "Mississippi State is pretty much the same way. I feel like I could see myself playing there."
The recruiting process is beginning to wind down for Black and she is anxious to make her college decision official as soon as possible.
"I really want to sign on November 14th, so I am trying to get it all together now," said the 6-3 post player. "I need to get this done A.S.A.P. I have visited Mississippi State and Ole Miss and I am supposed to go down to LSU this weekend."
From the looks of things Mississippi's "Big" three have worked extremely hard to let Swayze know she is a priority for their respective signing classes.
"Mississippi State and Ole Miss really have (recruited hard), but Southern Miss and ULM have too," said Black. "Right now it's all just too close to call."
In addition to being a member of the Clarion Ledger's Dandy Dozen team as a junior as well as being considered one of the top women's prospects in the southeast, Swayze was recently voted Homecoming Queen by her peers at Brookhaven High School.
"It's an honor," said Swayze. "I wasn't expecting it at all. It's a real honor."
Black's teammate and friend Nikki Byrd recently committed to Ole Miss, but Swayze says that Byrd's college decision will have little bearing on her own.
