Gordon, Rhodes Tabbed Pre-Season All-SEC

The SEC Media cast their ballots earlier today and tabbed Bulldog junior point guard Jamont Gordon as a pre-season 1st team All-SEC selection. Senior forward Charles Rhodes was voted to the media's second team.

Jamont Gordon continues to pick up honors. The Bulldog junior could certainly be considered the poster boy for Coach Rick Stansbury's program as he is widely the most recognizable name on the the roster.

Gordon finished second to Chris Lofton, who was an overwhelming selection for pre-season player of the year honors.

Senior forward Charles Rhodes collected All-SEC honors for the third time in his impressive career. Rhodes was selected to the league's second team after both his sophomore and junior seasons.

Tennessee was selected by the media as the favorite to win the overall SEC conference title followed by Mississippi State who received two votes. The Volunteers and Bulldogs were the only two programs to receive overall title votes from the 30 member panel.

Despite picking up a pair of votes to win the overall title, the Bullodgs are picked second in the west behind Arkansas.
