Trevor Stigers and Ridgeland ended the regular season undefeated after knocking off Vicksburg 19-16. The Titans had to come from behind, but the district champs were able to put the pesky Gators away in the game's final stanza.
Delmon Robinson reeled in touchdown catches of 56 and 26 yards in the game with Ridgeland, but it simply was not enough. The Gators fall to 6-4.
Bo Walters and Briarwood continue their outstanding play with another blowout win. Briarwood (10-0) blew out Jackson-Olin 42-18.
Joshua Jackson and Canton High school finish the regular season 8-2 after shelling Lanier 34-13. The Tigers now prepare for first round playoff action.
Templeton Hardy and North Panola evened their season record at 5-5 with a 36-15 win over Rosa Fort.
Arceto Clark and Shannon got back on track this week with a 33-0 cake walk over Tishomingo County. Shannon is 9-1 on the season and finished the regular season as the number two seed in their district.
Charles Bailey and Batram Trail clinched their third district title in a row with a 45-10 blowout of Fletcher High. By virtue of winning the number one seed, Bartram Trail will host a first round playoff game.
Antonio Hoskins and Water Valley conclude their season with a 2-8 record after falling to Ackerman 28-7.
Baker Swedenburg and Heritage saw their season come to an end this week after a 31-7 loss to Pillow. Heritage finished the year 1-10.
Kendrick Cook and Etowah fell to unbeaten North Jackson 21-14. Etowah is now 6-4 on the year.
Nelson Hurst will be wearing maroon the next time he takes to the field of play. Plainfield High saw their playoff run end this passed Friday night in a 14-7 loss to Westfield. The Quakers end the year 8-4.
Corey Broomfield took a 44 yard catch and run to paydirt, but it was not enough as Melbourne got by Bayside 16-13. Despite the loss, Bayside (6-3) clinched a playoff berth.
John Paul Alford and Kosciusko have fallen on hard times. A fast start had many folks labeling the Whippets as 4A north title contenders. KHS lost to West Lauderdale this past week 27-12. Kosciusko has now dropped three of it's last four and are now 6-4 overall.
Kirkland Gainous and Lincoln High School agreed to move their game to Thursday of this week. The Trojans will take in Godby in a game televised by FoxSports.
2009 Chris Garrett and Tupelo avanced their record to 8-2 on the season after a 40-7 win over Horn Lake. Chris found Chad Bumphis for a touchdown pass. Tupelo can clinch the two seed with a win over Olive Branch this Friday night.
