SEC Coach of the Year!!!

The SEC released it's annual post season individual awards earlier today and Mississippi State head football coach Sylvester Croom was named the conference's Coach of the Year.

In his fourth year in Starkville, Coach Croom has the Bulldogs biting as well as barking once again. The Liberty Bowl bound Bulldogs boast an SEC best four game improvement over last season's win total.

Most prognosticators had very low expectations for the 2007 Bulldogs, with one national periodical predicting the Bullies would finish winless in the league and earn just two wins overall.

Despite being picked dead last in a twelve team league, the Bulldogs worked their way to a 4-4 record and a 7-5 overall win/loss total.

Coach Croom's selection as the Coach of the Year by his peers comes a day after the AFCA named the Bulldog coach their Region 2 Coach of the Year.
