AP Tabs Bulldogs With Post Season Selections

The Mississippi State Bulldog football program continues to receive post season recognition. The Associated Press handed down it's All-SEC honors Wednesday evening.

Running first team defense was Bulldog safety Derek Pegues. The 2007 honors mark the second consecutive year that Derek has been awarded post season All-SEC honors.

Pegues led the Bulldogs in interception returns as well as punt and kickoff return yardage. Derek totaled 46 tackles from his safety position.

Senior Titus Brown collected 2nd team honors from both the coaches and the associated press. Brown collected 40 tackles from his defensive end position despite being double teamed most of the year.

Offensive lineman Royce Blackledge and Michael Brown both earned an honorable mention for their play this season.

Rounding out the awards was Head Coach Sylvester Croom who was voted the league's Coach of the Year. The fourth year head coach collected those same honors earlier this week from the SEC Coaches as well as Region 2 honors from the American Football Coaches' Association.
