Baseball Rained Out: DH Saturday

Friday's baseball game between Mississippi State and Air Force was rained out. The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday with the first game starting at 2 pm and the second game expected to start at 5:30 pm. Both games will be nine-inning affairs.

According to Mississippi State's media relations department, "tickets for Friday's games will be honored for admission to the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader."

Mississippi State is expected to start senior lefthanded pitcher Justin Pigott (1-0, 3.60) in the first game and junior righthander Chad Crosswhite (0-0, 12.60) in the evening affair.

Air Force will counter with sophomore righthander David Miller (0-1, 16.88) in the first game and another sophomore righthander, Alex Truesdale (0-0, 3.00) in the second game.

The final game of the three-game set will be played Sunday beginning at 1:30 pm. Sophomore Ricky Bowen (0-1, 15.75) is scheduled to start for MSU, while Air Force is expected to start junior righthander Jake Petro (0-1, 9.00).

Air Force is 1-3 on the season. Two of their losses were by one run. Mississippi State is 2-2 on the season.

Due to Mississippi State's basketball game with Florida, the radio broadcast of tomorrow's opening game will be aired locally on WMSV-FM (91.1), the campus radio station. The second game may be heard locally on WFCA-FM (107.9).

According to the MSU media relations department, "video and audio of both games will be available on Maroon to the Max, with the second game being offered free of charge to all Bulldog fans as originally planned for Friday's affair. A free M2M audio stream will be provided for Sunday's series closer and will be the only broadcast available for that game. All of the free streams can be accessed through M2M's Live Events page at the listed game times."
