MSU Commitment Scoreboard Update - Week 5

The MSU commitment scoreboard is and has always been a free feature that allows you the fan the chance to see how the current Mississippi State football commitments made out in their most recent action on the gridiron.

Cameron Lawrence ran for three touchdowns including an 84 yarder to pace Magnolia Heights (5-1) in their fifth win a row. Cam also turned in an impressive 15 tackles in the 28-7 win over Washington.

Tyler Russell was 10 of 12 for 148 yards in a 36-10 win over Natchez. Russell threw a 15 yard TD pass and scampered in for another from 13 yards out.

Chris Smith turned in three more catches, but we held out of the end zone in the Meridian (4-1) win.

Jonathan Banks scored on a ten yard run and he converted a two point attempt that proved to be the difference as East Webster held off Calhoun City 22-21. East Webster won their second game in five days and now stand at 5-0.

Montez Phillips turned in two touchdown runs as Lafayette (3-2) won their third in a row. The 35-0 win over Greenwood moved the Commodores district record to 2-0.

Deontae Skinner and Noxubee County (4-0) got all over New Hope 44-7. Noxubee County will put their undefeated season on the line next week when they take on 5-0 West Point.

William Shumpert and IAHS remain perfect on the season after spanking New Albany 42-17.

Josh Boyd and Philadelphia (3-2) never got on track tonight. Forest rolled on 38-7.

Fletcher Cox and Yazoo City had very little problem dispatching Canton 33-14. The Indians are now 4-1 on the season.

Nickoe Whitley's season ended three weeks ago, but his Ram teammates have rattled off three straight wins including a 27-3 win over Grenada on Friday.

Gabriel Jackson and Amite County took on North Pike on Friday, but that score was not available at press time.

Montrell Conner scored two touchdowns and set the Lions up for the game winning field goal attempt in the final seconds against West Monroe. The kick sailed wide right and West Monroe prevailed 20-19. The Lions are now 2-2 on the season.

Anthony Rogers and North Little Rock tasted defeat for the first time this season after a 17-14 loss to Russellville. The Wildcats fall to 3-1 on the season.

Josh Hollingsworth threw two touchdowns including the eventual game winner early in the fourth quarter. Josh was 11 of 21 for 191 yards with two touchdowns to go along with six rushes for 36 yards. The 14-13 win over Haleyville runs Hamilton's mark to 5-0.

Sam Watts and Salem (3-2) have now won three straight. The Seminoles knocked off Madison County 21-14 in front of the homecoming crowd.

Chris White and #10 Mississippi Gulf Coast got back on track this week with a 10-3 win over #6 Pearl River.

Pernell McPhee and Itawamba CC fell to 1-4 after a narrow 8-6 loss to Mississippi Delta in a defensive struggle.
