Williams Back from Unofficial

Latavious Williams is taking the scenic route to division 1 eligibility. The Starkville high schooler will play this season on the prep level and he considered a few options before deciding one.

"I am at Christian Life," said Latavious Williams. "Things have been going pretty good. I like it so far. I think we are going to have a pretty nice team this season."

Williams has received interest from dozens of schools and several have offered scholarships. He recently visited one of those schools unofficially.

"I went and checked out Houston last weekend," said the talented power forward. "It was alright, but I don't think it's the place for me. I like the system they run, but I don't think that is where I want to go to school."

"I don't have any other visits set up right now. I am going to take my official visits, but I can't take any until I take my ACT."

With options from the ACC and SEC as well as many others, Williams has a lot to sort out. A handful of schools appear to be making him more of a priority.

"Houston, Memphis and Florida State are all calling me every week," said Latavious. "All of the other schools are calling me some too.

"I have been talking a lot with Memphis, but I am not sure what they are going to do. I am just going to wait and see about everything."

With the early signing period approaching, Williams has not plans to make an early commitment.

"I am not going to sign in the early period," said Latavious. "I am going to try to take my visits and I will sign in the next signing period."
