Dan Mullen - Being a champion is not a sometimes thing. You can't just turn it on. There's no such thing as a champion that is a gamer. I'm a gamer, don't worry I will just do it during the game. Or, I'm a champion on the field, but in the community I'm a bad guy. I go to the weight room and I don't work real hard, I go to classes and I don't work real hard but I work hard at being a great football player. Being a champion is not a sometimes thing, being a champion is a all the time thing. Being a champion is when you wake up in the morning and you have to be the best. It's a mindset.

Successful people - whether you are in business, in the military, whether you are in politics, whether you coach, whether you are in academics - being a champion is a way of life. I know I'm not the closet one to that door, but I bet I will be the first one to that door if we had a race. I have to be the best. And we need to instill that in our team - that they need to start living their lives that way, that they need to live their lives in the classroom as champions, that they need to live their lives in the community as champions, that they need to live their lives in the weight room as champions. And everyday they walk out to the practice fields, they need to live their lives like champions.

If all that happens, then you are going to see a team on Saturday that has the ability to win championships. That's the type team that I am going to make sure we put on the field.

This turnout is unbelievable. We are going to make sure that we put a team on the field that you can be proud of. And everytime they step foot on the field that team is giving a championship effort every single Saturday.
