Juco RHP Talks Recruiting

Corey Collins, a righthanded junior college pitcher who played for Seward County (KS) CC the past two years, gives his thoughts about the schools he has visited and what visits, if any, he still plans on taking.

After officially visiting Mississippi State last weekend, Corey took an official visit to Southeast Missouri State Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

"It was nice, I liked it and they offered me a lot, but I think I like Mississippi State a little better," said Corey.

The last time we spoke, Corey also had Oklahoma State in the mix for his signature but he wasn't sure if he was going to officially visit them. He appears to have made a decision about that situation.

"I am going out (to Oklahoma State) next Tuesday and Wednesday (for an official visit)," said Corey. "Either them or NC State. (North Carolina State) called me last week and told me that they need some pitching. But I'm pretty positive that it's going to be Oklahoma State."

Unless things change, his plans are to make a college decision within two weeks from today.

"I really want to make a (college) decision," said the 6-6, 195-pounder, who will sign this spring and be on campus next fall. "After all of my visits, it should take me two to three days to make my decision."

Will it be Mississippi State or Oklahoma State or will North Carolina State jump into the thick of things? Keep it right here to find out what Corey Collins decides.
