"I had a good time. I felt like it was a family down there. Everybody treated me well. They treated me with respect. Everybody down there is real cool."
Was it about what you expected or even better than you expected?
"It was even better than what I expected."
Who was your player host?
What was your impressions of him?
"He was real cool. I played against him in high school. He used to go to Clarksdale."
Did you get to meet all the coaches while you were there?
Is State recruiting you as a wide receiver, defensive back or quarterback?
Did you get to meet Coach (Curley) Hallman, the defensive back coach?
What were your impressions of him?
"He is real cool. He talked to me about a lot of things such as academics and how I would fit on the team."
Who were some of the guys you hung out with while on your visit?
"I hung out with (Devrick Hampton). He was a real cool guy. We talked about a lot of things. We had a lot of things in common. I also hung out with Aries (Nelson)."
How does State rank after this visit?
"I think they have moved up a lot. I have been thinking more and more about coming down there. It will be a little farther away from home but my family can still come see me play."
Would you say you are leaning to State now?
Where do the three schools that you are still looking at rank on your list?
"Mississippi State would be first, then West Virginia, then Ole Miss."
You still have visits with both of those schools, don't you?
Are you going to wait to make a decision after you visit all three schools?
"Yes sir, but I'm really leaning toward State."
I appreciate you taking the time to talk with me, Rickey.
