New MSU Baseball Commitment

Mississippi State continues to dominate the state of Mississippi in baseball recruiting with their 6th in-state commitment, Harrison Central High School's Wes Rea.

"I committed to Mississippi State," said Harrison Central High School dual-position player Wes Rea, who unofficially visited Mississippi State Monday.

Wes, who played on the Mississippi team that played in the prestigious Junior Sunbelt Classic last month, chose Mississippi State over baseball offers from Auburn and Tulane and football offers from numerous national football powers.

Wes, who is 6-5, and 275 pounds, is considered an outstanding hitter with tremendous power and a pitcher who tops out at 94 miles per hour with his fastball.

Look for the complete interview to be posted later tonight once Wes and his parents get home.
