"It was better than I expected. My first impression was I thought it was going to be pretty chaotic because of the coaching changes, but everyone on the staff was very friendly. When I first got there, I felt real comfortable on campus."
I'm sure you keyed on the defensive coaches since that is the side of the ball you will play on. What was your impressions of Coach John Blake, the coach who coaches the position that you play?
"It was going to be, but with the position that I'm going to play at Mississippi State if I choose to go there - I would be playing linebacker/rush end - my coach would be Coach Cooper."
What were your impressions of Coach Cooper?
"I liked him a lot. I first met him when he came down to my home and we talked. From the first time, I really liked Ron. He is a very cool guy and I could see myself playing for Ron the next four years."
Who was your player host while you were on your visit?
Did you know Darren beforehand?
"We played against each other but I didn't know him, just knew of him."
What was your impressions of him?
"He was real cool. He told me a lot about the school and a lot about the people at the school and the coaches. He told me that he really liked me and that it would sure be helpful if I came and joined them."
Who did you hang out with while on your visit? I'm referring to current MSU players and recruits.
"Darren Williams, Fred Reid and the recruits were Omarr (Conner), Quinton McCrary and Joey (Sanders)."
Isn't Georgia your next visit?
When do you think you are going to make your decision? After that visit or on signing day?
"After that visit."
Do you have any kind of order that you would rank the teams that you are considering?
"No sir. I have them as even as possible, but when I come back from Georgia, my family and I are going to sit down and talk about it. The school that they feel most comfortable with and that I feel comfortable with and the Lord places me there, that's the school that I will choose."
I know religion will play a strong part in the school that you choose. What was that aspect like at Mississippi State?
"Coach Blake is a very religious man. The second time he came down to my home we spent like an hour and a half to two hours talking about God and the Bible, so that set him apart from the other recruiters. I liked that in Mississippi, whereas, other recruiters just came and talked about me playing early, how was my grades, things like that. Coach Blake, we set down and talked about the Bible. My God mother really liked that in him."
That should do it, Quentin. Thanks for talking to me?
"Alright, Mr. Swindoll."
