Jason, when did you commit to Mississippi State?
"I committed to Mississippi State Sunday night after I came back home from the visit (to MSU)."

Who did you commit to over the phone?
"Coach Glenn Davis." (Coach Davis is the MSU coach that is recruiting Jason.-Gene)

I guess he was pretty excited, wasn't he?
"(Laugh) Yes sir, he was real excited. He called Coach Sherrill. I didn't get a chance to talk to Coach Sherrill because his wife was in the hospital."

Did the Mississippi State people talk about Coach Sherrill's wife and what was going on with her?
"Yes sir."

You went on your visit this past weekend. What was it about the visit that helped you decide to go ahead and commit to MSU?
"They showed me a nice time and I got to hang out with Justin Jenkins. We got a chance to meet professors and the coaching staff. I got to meet the new wide receiver coach (Guy Holliday) and the new offensive coordinator, Coach (Morris) Watts. They seem like they are ready to turn the program around and that was what I liked. I met Coach (John) Blake, the new defensive line coach. Him, my daddy and me were talking and he seemed really nice."

What were your overall impression of the coaches?
"It was a good impression because they told me how they were going to do the offense and about the way they were going to change the program."

I know in the past you have always ranked Mississippi State pretty high on your list. I believe you have been somewhat of a State fan for awhile. Is that correct?
"Yes sir."

Did the visit pretty much reinforce your feelings about State?
"Yes sir."

Are you happy you have committed and maybe not have so many people calling you now, people such as me?
"(Laugh) Yes sir."

Are you going to take any more visits?
"I don't know yet."

That should do it, Jason. I appreciate you talking to me.
"Alright."
