Malcolm Johnson scored four touchdowns this week, two rushing and two receiving, in a losing effort as Hueytown wins a wild one 36-33.

Malcolm scored late, but Northridge (4-3) was unable to recover an onsides kick attempt.

Fans of White Water High sought to make the most of their rivalry game with Sandy Creek as they sent several dead roses to the Sandy Creek coaching staff.

While White Water played the florist role, running back Rajion Neal starred as the Undertaker.

Neal scored five touchdowns, three rushing (15 carries, 135 yards) and two on kickoff returns of 98 and 79 yards as Sandy Creek (4-1) blasted rival White Water 43-6.

A week after winning a battle of winless teams, Blaine Clausell and Baker (1-5) fell back on the losing side of things after a 24-21 heartbreaking loss to Williamson.

Baker could not make a final redzone stand in the games final minute to hold the lead.

Michael Carr returned a third quarter kickoff 72 yards for a touchdown as West Point (5-1) knocked off New Hope 35-8.

A strong defensive effort led by Curtis Virges limited the New Hope offense who scored late to avoid the shutout.

Jameon Lewis scored on runs of 39, 1 and 7 yards as Tylertown beat Hazlehurst 21-7 to advance their record to 6-0.

Brandon Hill and West Lowndes earned a hard fought important district win over Hamilton 26-20.

Kaleb Eulls and Yazoo County (4-3) got over .500 after a 22-6 win over Greenwood-Elzy.

Cordell Giles and Ray Brooks (2-3) enjoyed a bye week and will be back in action next week at Coffeeville.

Earlier this week Rashod Henry and PRCC lost their second consecutive game as the Bobcats of JCJC knocked off the Wildcats 27-10.

Henry entered the game as the region's #2 rusher with 650 yards and a 10 yard per carry average.

It's homecoming today at Perkinston as #6 Mississippi Gulf Coast hosts Co-Lin in an important contest.

Through last week's action Vick Ballard and Kelvin Bolden were the top two scorers in region 23 with nine and eight touchdowns respectively.

Jamerson Love got Aberdeen off to a fast start with a touchdown on the game's opening kickoff. Aberdeen knocked off region foe Winona 30-14.

In the Battle of 43 running back Donatello Luckett scored three touchdowns as Pisgah doubled up Pelahatchie 42-21.
