    Notes from the park:

  • There were between 25 and 35 people watching the scrimmage.
  • Pitcher Paxton Pace was pulled from the game and will be examined by MSU team doctor Rusty Linton. It may be more of a precautionary thing.
  • Due to a limited number of available pitchers the scrimmage only went 4 innings.
  • Once again, the Maroon-White World Series, a 3 out of 5 series, starts next Wednesday (November 11th) and goes through the 17th.
  • Although this has nothing to do with the scrimmage, I read the latest Baseball America last night. There was an interesting comment in it about Mississippi State's recruiting class. They wrote that Mississippi State may have signed the best group of young pitchers of all the colleges. That was the reason they ranked Mississippi State's recruiting class the 8th best in the nation.
