MBA Hoops coach Omhar Carter is definitely a big fan of Robertson's

"Derrell Robertson, who is from Mendenhall, is a 6-9, athletic post player," said Carter. "He blocks shots and finishes high. He measured out with a 40 inch vertical at one of the combines we went to."

As for his recruitment, a number of schools have jumped into the picture, including all three of the major four-year Mississippi schools.

"Marquette, UAB, Middle State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss are interested in me," said Robertson. "Middle Tennessee State has offered me."

Robertson is a player who has his college priorities in order, academics, then athletics.
