The versatile playmaker has had contact with both in state suitors in the past few weeks.
"I visited Mississippi State's practice and I talked to Coach Mullen and Coach Smith," said Benardrick. "They asked me if I liked everything. I watched them practice and they looked pretty good.
"They said they would recruit me as an athlete. I just want to play so that's fine with me. I will play wherever they need me. They told me they wanted me to come back and visit them again."
The Bulldogs' in state rivals are also showing some interest in the delta standout.
"Ole Miss came to the school yesterday and talked to me," said McKinney. "Their scout told me they could use me and he wants me to come to their camp June 21st."
Location, facilities and projected position have taken a back seat to opportunity for Benardrick. He is willing to play whatever, wherever.
"I want to go to a program I can get a good scholarship and go play," said McKinney. "I will go anywhere to play. I don't have to stay close to home."
