A Q&A With TE/OT Daniel Knox

West Lauderdale (MS) High School class of 2011 tight end/offensive tackle Daniel Knox talks about his experience at the Mississippi State camp as well as how his recruitment is going.

What camps have you attended this summer?
"I have been to Ole Miss and Alabama. This is my first one at Mississippi State."

What did you measure, height and weight-wise, at the MSU camp?
"6-5 and a little over 250."

What other camps are you going to attend?
"I am going to Alabama this weekend, then I'll be back at State sometime."

What did the Mississippi State coaches talk to you about while at their camp?
"I played with the tackles today. They talked to me about bending and getting better with my techniques. I enjoyed it."

What position do you prefer playing, tight end or tackle?
"It doesn't matter to me. They are talking about when I come in here I may be a tight end early, then grow into a tackle."

Does that matter to you?
"No sir."

How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I am real physical. I like getting on the field and blocking. I go until I hear the whistle, then give a little extra push at the end (laugh)."

Recruiting-wise, what do you think about Mississippi State?
"I like State. They are number 1. They are my favorite right now. The more I come here, the more I seem to like it."

Who else is in the mix?
"Southern (Miss), Arkansas State and UAB have offered. And Alabama and Ole Miss are still recruiting me real hard."
